Gentle hands eased him back in the bed, Arthur’s hands. Those same hands propped pillows behind him, helped him to sit up then gathered their son from his cradle and carefully passed him to Merlin. It wasn’t until the baby was in his arms that Merlin realized just how profoundly weak he still was. He could barely lift his arms up to hold his son. He trembled with the effort and felt a tear roll down his cheek. He made a pathetic mother.
Staring at the tiny being in his hands, Sherlock seemed in shock, almost unsure of what he had just witnessed. Then as its face scrunched and let out a tiny cry, he could feel his breath catch. She was actually here. The thing that Sarah and John had made together, that once gray bean in the sonogram photo on Mrs. Hudson's fridge, the creation that had sent John into the most interesting cravings and mood swings (he had analyzed every single one), was a living, breathing person...
This is brilliant! I really enjoyed this and how original it was- I've read fics where Merlin leaves out of fear before, but none where when he comes back Arthur is so goddamn terrifying. You captured his fear and confusion so well, and even though I know Arthur to be good, his unpredictable reactions around magic made me worried for Merlin. The ending was perfect, though I was hoping for some mention of Arthur sending out a patrol to bring Gwaine back, and maybe offering him the honourable position of godfather/mentor to their son, as a reward for taking such good care of Merlin and being such a dutiful Knight? But it was enough to know that they lived happily ever after, so I can assume something along those lines happened. Beautiful story ♥
Mpreg Part 3/3Brett leans on the door and spreads his legs out. He pushed himself up when his water broke. A gush of fluids poured out leaving him breathless. Right when his water broke, a deep and heavy pressure pushed against his anus. "The baby. It's coming!" The pressure comes lower and burns his opening. He shakes from the pain. His pants had to be taken off but he couldn't move. He tried to push and see if the pain would go away. He pushed and felt his opening spread wider and wider. "Ah! It burns! Vicky!" He curls his toes and pushes. He feels a burst a bust and notices his baby's head was out. He pushed getting excited to meet his baby. He felt his baby move out slightly but was stopped by his pants. He panicked trying to take off his pants but every move he made gave him shock pains in his belly and anus. He pushed harder but the baby didn't move. He cried out for help and whimpered in pain. He worried that his baby wouldn't survive from being stuck. "Cmon just please stay with me baby." He

I’m in transition for almost an hour, the contractions hard and constant. At one point they put me on oxygen because I’m hyperventilating from not remembering to breathe between screams. Then I start to feel the intense pressure of needing to push, which I do for almost forty minutes before the searing pain of my first baby’s head stretching my formerly tight hole hits me. It’s a looooong crowning, followed by stubborn shoulders that spread me so wide I could swear my pelvis is breaking.

He dazed off through the window as his history teacher droned on about the political views of Hawaii in the early 1900’s. Jim couldn’t keep focus on such nonsense; he didn’t care what the political views of Hawaii once were.  He was only a few weeks delivering a secret he had been hiding so well, his mind could only ever drift off to the thought of what was yet to come. Jim’s daze was broken was he was welcomed back to reality when he felt her shift a bit.
Glancing back, Sherlock gave a quick look at John who looked rather pained while doing all he could to stay calm. But of course John had a lot more to worry about. Instinctively, his arm was wrapped protectively around the large bump that contained his and Sarah's second child; a girl this time. She had already faced death three times in the past few minutes (once being his own fault...) and she wasn't even born yet; he wasn't about to let her face it again.
It felt like he was watching a movie as he saw the doctor cleaning out his son’s mouth and nose. Jason beamed as their little boy, Jackson was almost certainly going to be his name, was nestled into his arms by a grinning nurse. Distantly, he wanted to hold him too but the mere seconds of relief following his exit had disappeared and the pain was back with a frightening intensity.
